Downtown Burbank Fine Arts and Chalk Festival

THE Downtown Burbank Fine Arts and Chalk Festival

The East Valley’s largest and most diverse fine arts festival representing 90 active West Coast artists and high-quality craftsmen happens in Downtown Burbank Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, 2004, from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  The Downtown Burbank Fine Arts and Chalk Festival is free and open to the public.

This two-day outdoor exhibition is a juried collection of art for sale by 60 leading commercial artists, designers, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists and jewelers selected from workshops across California, Arizona and Nevada.  Approximately 75% of exhibitors are based in Southern California.  All work is original, one-of-kind and executed by the artists themselves, with nothing manufactured, imported or purchased for resale.

Many of the artists are scheduled to attend the festival in person with a number of them executing works on-site, giving the general public the opportunity to share in the artistic process and to watch skilled artisans work in a variety of media: oils and watercolor, photography, sculpture in wood, stone, metal, clay, iron and glass, fiber art, precious stones, jewelry, pottery and stained glass.

Sponsors for the Downtown Burbank Fine Arts and Chalk Festival include Woodbury University, Universal City Studios Credit Union, Glen Oaks Escrow, Old California Gazette and Brad Korb, RE/MAX In Action

The Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival occurs outdoors on San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia and Orange Grove.  San Fernando Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic for the Saturday and Sunday shows.  Parking is available in the nearby 9,000 parking spaces.  Produced in cooperation with West Coast Artists.
