FABULOUS FALL
FESTIVAL
Celebrate fall with fun activities like face painting, pumpkin contests
and kids arts and crafts events at the Fabulous Fall Festival in front of
Macy's on Cypress Street in Downtown Burbank. Fabulous Fall Festival kicks
off a month of programs at Burbank Town Center and signals the start of
autumn fun in Downtown Burbank, Thursday, October 5 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00
P.M. The event is free and open to the public.
Be there for the pumpkin patch, hay bales and seasonal food like candy
apples, corn-on-the-cob and pumpkin pies. Enjoy live music, strolling
fiddlers and wacky presentations by Mad Science. Jumbo Shrimp Circus's
will be there with their ever-popular "skill sessions" -- plate spinning,
hula hoops, juggling, tight wire and stilt walking.
Throughout October, Burbank Town Center continues fall festivities with
the Charity Pumpkin Patch, which takes place every Friday through Sunday,
1st level Center Court, as well as many other activities. For further

TASTE OF DOWNTOWN
BURBANK SERVED UP A FEAST SEPTEMBER 21
The third annual Taste of Downtown Burbank returned for a huge helping of
great food & entertainment on Thursday, September 21. Thousands gathered
on San Fernando Boulevard to taste the international cuisine of Downtown
Burbank's restaurants and sampled beers & wines from Gordon Biersch
Brewery and Market City Caffe. Everyone had an amazing time and over
$37,000 was raised for the Burbank Community YMCA.
Downtown Burbank restaurants and eateries gave it their best this year. A
big thank you goes out to every one of them for their amazing
contribution.
The event was produced by Downtown Burbank Partnership, Inc. and the
Burbank Community YMCA, in cooperation with The Burbank Collection and
KOST-FM.

DO YOU WI-FI?
Surfing the web in Downtown Burbank is as easy as 1-2-3. And best of
all, it is free. All a customer needs is a laptop with a wireless card
(most models built after 2002 have them already installed. Even
without a built-in receiver, it is easy to buy and install a "wireless
card" from any major computer store.) Downtown's Wi-Fi coverage area
extends from the Holiday Inn to Burbank Boulevard, and from the
Metrolink Station to Glenoaks. The hotspot offers many opportunities
for users to access the Internet on laptops, notebooks, smart phones,
personal digital assistants (PDAs) or hand-held game devices.
If you haven't tried using this latest step in computer technology,
please check out the complete "how-to" on the Downtown Burbank
website, www.downtown-burbank.org.
