DOWNTOWN BURBANK NEWSLETTER
June 2005

Downtown Burbank announces the return of the successful Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival, which is the East Valley’s largest and most diverse outdoors fine art event.  The festival has now grown to 80 artists and is scheduled for the weekend of June 11 & 12, from 10:00 A.M. to dusk.  The Downtown Burbank Fine Arts and Chalk Festival is free and open to the public.

The festival has expanded to include San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia and Orange Grove, and on AMC-16 Plaza.  San Fernando Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic for the Saturday and Sunday shows.  Parking in the nearby 9,000 parking spaces is free.  Produced in cooperation with West Coast Artists.

The two-day outdoor exhibition is a juried collection of art for sale by leading commercial artists, designers, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists and jewelers from workshops across California, Arizona and Nevada.  All work is original, one-of-kind and executed by the artists themselves, with nothing manufactured, imported or purchased for resale.

All of the artists are scheduled to attend in person with a number of them executing works on-site.  The public will have the opportunity to share in the artistic process and to watch skilled artisans work in a variety of media: oils and watercolor, photography, sculpture in wood, stone, metal, clay, iron and glass, fiber art, precious stones, jewelry, pottery and stained glass.

For further information or to find out how to participate in the show, please contact Ronda Mills at 818.709.2907 or apply via the internet at www.westcoastartists.com
