Sales grew a strong +13% in Downtown Burbank through September
2006.
AMC Downtown Burbank theaters continue to rank in the top 5 of
all circuits nationally. Sales are consistently comparable to
the AMC Empire 25 in New York's Times Square.

Individual Retail Successes
Pomodoro Cucina Italiana is the most successful Pomodoro in
Southern California to date. It opened #1 in its district,
beating out sales at established locations like West
Hollywood, Manhattan Beach and Woodland Hills.
Cold Stone Creamery is #1 in sales volume for all of
California.
Urban Outfitters consistently beats its Old Pasadena
counterpart, as does O My Sole and Gordon Biersch.
Active was initially shocked by their sales volumes in
Downtown Burbank. They were not prepared for the demand and
now consider it a high volume store.
Skyblupink, a Downtown Burbank favorite, remains open until
10:00 P.M. on Sundays due to high foot traffic and sales.
Wait-time at PF Chang’s on Friday and Saturday nights is
frequently 1 ½ hours.
Islands performs in the top ten of the company.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory’s grand opening was among the
highest experienced in the chain.
Major Developments
In the past few years, more than $200 million of new
investment has been made in Downtown Burbank, including the
Olson Company’s Burbank Village Walk, Cusumano Real Estate
Groups’ Civic Plaza, and Champion Development’s “The
Collection,” which is scheduled to open in 2008. In addition,
Marriott is currently under construction on a $35 million
166-room Residence Inn set to open in 2007.
Condos are selling in the $600,000 range, with one corner
1,200 sq. ft. townhouse in Burbank Village Walk selling for
$800,000. In the next three years, nearly 300 live / work
lofts will be added in Downtown.
General Facts
Downtown attracts young professionals -- hip, working in the
entertainment business (six major studios are nearby – Warner
Bros., Cartoon Network, Disney, NBC-TV sound stages, ABC
Television, Nickelodeon) and the City itself boasts more than
700 post-production houses employing cutting-edge individuals,
and adding a cosmopolitan flair.
Of the 100,000 office workers who daily fill Burbank’s
businesses and retail establishments, 29,000 of them work in
entertainment.
Burbank’s retail sales rank in the top 10 of all 88 LA county
cities. They exceed those of Beverly Hills by 20%. The City’s
per capita retail sales are double Los Angeles County’s:

Demographics are excellent: Incomes average $62,300 with 25%
earning over $75,000, and density is high, with 460,100
households in a five mile radius
